Dawkins makes me think of someone called CrazyBlue.
O'Reilly's on surprisingly good behavior in this interview. Maybe he knew Dawkins could easily shut him down. To relate this back to Santorum as a 1, yes, he's got the same pursed lipped, bare tolerance of dissenters going on.

If elitist/imperious rhetoric was part of his personal values, he would exhibit these. They aren't. He is God's Servant, helping America's young ladies to only have joyless, procreative sex. It is what God wants, you see.
The 'accident' of being a One, though, is that you "know everything that God knows". And your 'equality with God' simply slips through, whether you intend to think of yourself as a servant or not.
Santorum is continually giving off a subliminal (and a not-so-subliminal) "I'm no big deal".
Expressionlessness is central to how One-ness shows itself. There's too much reactivity in his face.
Don't look at the arguments that his rhetoric posits. Otherwise, you're just listing things that any conservative religious person of any type might say.
A person's type is found in the 'how', not in the 'what'.
No sir, 1s are not expressionless when acting out their righteous passion. Perhaps they may be in other areas of life, but not when on a podium espousing God's Own Truth, our 1 most certainly wouldn't be.
I think Dawkins is a One and you can see his anger bubbling through quite easily here, and within a distinct frame of reference:
Dawkins makes me think of someone called CrazyBlue.

I'm surprised by the 6 typings because I agree with EMike, he does seem like a clear 8. He beats people into submission with his anger, he gets his way by being overbearing, overpowering, interrupting, being the alpha male. The guy is just anger anger anger, and effortlessly forceful. He also has quite an ego, thinking he is a supremely important person. The look in his eyes is always superior, cynical, smug, and distinctly rejection-expectant, and rejecting. I don't see fear or anxiety at all. He's very self-confident and he views himself as protector of the people.
all 6w5. level 6

Posted - 02 May 2012 : 1:00:11 PM Discussions of 8s on the boards always amaze me with the super humanness ascribed to 8s. I imagine as a board composed mostly of shy introverts, 8s are ripe to have all kinds of ego ideals projected upon, with help from Hollywood.
O'reillys an obvious 8, and 8s do get tired, relent, fearful, insecure, doubting, change their opinion, and can be sanctimonious and moralistic, but it's their angle that gives away type, why do they need to be right and what kind of energy they put out to that end. Plus so/sp combines with 8 in atypical ways sometimes.

This (from Wikipedia) is interesting and sounds more 6 than 8:
Bill O'Reilly played Little League baseball and was the goalie on the Chaminade varsity hockey team.[19] During his high school years, O'Reilly met future pop-singer icon Billy Joel whom O'Reilly described as a "hoodlum." O'Reilly recollected in an interview with Michael Kay on the YES Network show CenterStage, that Joel "was in the Hicksville section – the same age as me – and he was a hood. He used to slick it [his hair] back like this. And we knew him, because his guys would smoke and this and that, and we were more jocks." -----------------------

haha, awesome.
All of these things sound true to me, he is simply loathsome. 6 wasn't an instant call, for certain.
He's got some 6 and some 8 in there, and I wouldn't doubt him a triple reactive. (sorry 4s)
That's all right, we might have Hitler (even as a main type according to some) and I suppose that's even worse, lol. Some people should just be declared so crappy as to not even be worthy of an E type so no one has to claim them.
For O'Reilly I'd guess 863.

this is what I see also, that's why I type him either 6 or 1.
8s interfere when it's unjust , otherwise you survive on your own.

Posted - 01 May 2012 : 7:28:01 PM I agree that O'Reilly's a 6. I have little respect for the man, who does not debate, but rather harangues. I don't find his intellect to be particularly impressive, either. In light of this, it sounds like I'd think him an 8, but it is, ironically my gut feeling about the man that makes him a 6 in my estimation.
8 stupidity...I just avoid, no need to bother with it at all 6 stupidity...actually somewhat enraging
I feel like it would be satisfying to physically attack O'Reilly, so I type him as a 6.

Posted - 01 May 2012 : 7:05:53 PM Bill O'Reilly wildly exaggerates and is reactive, fairly good evidence of a 6w7. He may be a sp/so 6w7. Note the self-depreciating sense of humor, which is evident of 6w7 not 8w7, and his constant overbearing behavior is usually reigned in when he gets an explanation or his victims stand up for themselves. He stops pushing at that point. SP/SO has a different flavor than SO/SP. They are more concialliatory and can admit when they are wrong more easily. Rush Limbaugh is a so/sp 6w7, and has a harder time poking fun at himself.

i also don't think 6w7 is always unconfident seeming. it can be very important to put on a good show- so as to not have others see your insecurity. or in an area where they have confidence- my 6w7s is his perspective on faith- he fairly confident he has it all figured out- and would fight for it.
i wouldn't consider him a party lackey or a talking head with an urge to participate at any rate.
this is all not to say that orielly is a 6w7. only that i found the characterization of 6w7 to be a bit off.
