Why not discuss british singer Adele here.. What type is she?
From first impression she cannot be anything other than 8,9 or 6. Anything else is just not possible. Her presence seems very physical, strong and dominant and either she is a very cp 6 or it is as it seems and she is an 8 with 9 as wing. I lean towards 8w9 afterall. Subtype/stacking: I don't have a clue.

What's your guess?

Feeling deprived 7s react by getting, getting whatever will satisfy them.
It is hard to know exactly what the 7s greatest fear is when reminded
they are not happy or not pursuing stimulation to cover up that fear.
Distraction of pain and fear is really the distraction to their true happy
ness.
Once, they were happy and lost it and for the rest of their lives they
try to find it again. Their early happiness was very simple as a child
and so it probably will be again when it is realized.

sure.. I might not be able to type you egram wise tho...just sayin. The e kind of annoys me anymore
pinecone Posted - 28 Mar 2012 : 9:09:07 PM
Well, I've got a type I'm settled on ... but no wing. I'm still waiting to see what shakes out of my dialogue with Gray in another thread. I'm shy about posting pictures online but, at some point, once I've gotten to know people better, I think I might send a picture to a few people for feedback. Would you want to be included, if I did? (This is a long way of saying I'm not quite ready to reveal )
MH Posted - 28 Mar 2012 : 9:00:42 PM
lol..i deleted...imagine!

my posts are pretty random
pinecone Posted - 28 Mar 2012 : 8:59:03 PM
Oh. You deleted! Scrap the 9 reference, then.
MH Posted - 28 Mar 2012 : 8:59:02 PM
thanks pinecone..what do you self type as? If you dont want to say thats cool too..im kind of really bored with the egram so its ok whichever way for me at least. im deleting cuz what im saying is pretty much dumb. I dont think des was being reactive in so much as just talking about her experience..
pinecone Posted - 28 Mar 2012 : 8:55:54 PM
Mayhem, I don't think I'm a 9. But I looked at 9 for about 8 months (mostly because of Gray's Jungian "idealized object" postings--I do reframe).
pinecone Posted - 28 Mar 2012 : 8:50:23 PM
I don't know. Lets move on?

I think "pretty crazy" is still a pretty reactive way to summarize my comment. I am sorry, Desdemona, for causing offense. Do you accept my apology?

I'm just trying to explain, but I do think it's pretty crazy to say any type generally had a terrible relationship with one or both parents, because that covers so many people.

Because I didn't feel at all estranged from my mother. I was always very close to her. I didn't say, either, that she never supported my emotional self. She wasn't cold to me, or anything like that. What I'm referring to is the way she always tried to get me to ignore any pain or sadness and look on the bright side. When I was very upset, she'd tell me to "throw it out the window". When I started crying, she'd tell me to pull it together. It gave me the sense that I couldn't express my sad or upset feelings (although I did express them, to a degree, because I couldn't hold them in). I didn't feel estranged from her, though.

You read that part of 7's growth is acknowledging they had a terrible relationship with their mother??? As if every 7 out there had a terrible relationship with their mom?? NO, I am not putting a positive spin on a terrible relationship, I was always very close to my mom. I've known 7's who did have a bad relationship with their mom's, but the fact is that not all of us do. I was just trying to explain one way there was a disconnect. And I didn't mean my emotional self as a whole, just that part of it.

Agreed, 8way. Adele is very "one note."

Adele is too identified with being the victim.Write the songs to get into the feelings then get over it and move on. She ain't moving on. She is persecuting her ex. Even if he was [blocked] why not just say she was processing feelings rather than go after him every time????? She calls her ex [blocked] on every talk show. That is the 684 in my book.

Yes, I do definitely feel that, though my mother was very nurturing and loving, she never supported my emotional self, for lack of a better way of putting it. I always felt she loved me, and would always be there for me, but I have always had a frustration in her stifling of my emotional self....at least in certain ways. And I'm sure she didn't mean to, or realize she was doing that.

I can see how the motivation comes from my childhood, just not due to estrangement from my mother.

what I mean is, I can see how I was taught to always try to suck it up and look on the bright side. My mom couldn't stand to see me upset, I guess, and still can't. She can't tolerate expression of sadness from me very well. All that's led to, though, is my flipping back and forth in a bipolar sort of pattern - upset, no okay and happy, no upset... It's because I'm trying so hard to "suck it up" and failing miserably. My mom's the one who's always pressured me to suck it up, so I can see where that definitely played a major part in creating my type. But I don't see where I was alienated from my mother. That's totally different.
