Posted - 09 May 2012 : 12:30:08 PM Hi all,
I'm currently incapacitated, unemployed and undistracted, and probably will be for a while, so i'm taking the opportunity to put all these audio books and lectures i've collected over the years onto the computer and uploading some of them onto one of my youtube pages.
https://www.youtube.com/user/cjm73
Also for anyone who might be interested, I've played around with editing, mixing and uploading some music and videos onto my other youtube channel, but that's a pain because of copyright issues so i don't do it much. Here's the link:

Posted - 01 Apr 2013 : 7:57:55 PM The thread entitled "Oscar Ichazo & Arica"-- which was removed by the EIDB under pressure from the Arica Institute-- is now available in pdf format to anyone who is interested. If you want a copy, email a request to this address:
samizdatXpress@yahoo.fr
This is not my address, but I can personally vouch for it and assure everyone it's "safe", i.e., you won't get any spam, etc., from emailing.
The thread is the complete conversation which lasted almost 10 years and includes contributions from Aricans-- both current and former-- as well as board members. However, many of the contributions from Patrick Wooldridge (a longtime Arican) had been previously deleted and are only available in the form of "quotes" used by other members in their replies.
Needless to say, it's totally free of charge.
Feel free to share that email address with others.

Posted - 01 Mar 2013 : 04:00:02 AM shame, the cult arica threads were some of the very best ever posted; the truth, or at least closer approximations of the truth are often received as slander.................history will remember this organization in a considerably less flattering manner than was desired/craved.

Posted - 12 Feb 2013 : 01:25:14 AM Ha, yeah ... Never know who is watching who might kick up a fuss.
Once, on youtube, I put up a 5-minute excerpt from a 2 hour lecture that the copyright owner had made freely available on the internet. Of course I included links, attributions and references to the original, so basically it was like free publicity for these people-- (although I hadn't used it with the express intent of giving them publicity, I just liked the excerpt that was buried in the middle of the talk.)
Anyway, the next day I got a notice saying that I was going to be reported for copyright violation and, moreover, due to my behaviors, they were no longer going to make their material freely available to the public and so others were going to have to suffer for what I had done! I felt like I was in Jesuit School again!

Yeah, it does bring out some of the underlying tensions between the Gurdjieff/Fourth Way methods and those of the Far Eastern traditions like Taoism and Zen.

Posted - 24 Jan 2013 : 6:00:27 PM Here's an Esalen talk with Claudio Naranjo from 1968:
http://youtu.be/FLKfBHs_h04
These are excerpts from an Esalen Institute symposium on the value of psychotic experience, entitled "The Poetry of Madness", recorded July 31, 1968 at the Longshoremen's Memorial Hall in San Francisco. Among the topics Naranjo discusses are psychosis, mysticism, shamanism, art, the Gurdjieff work, hallucinogens, and traditional myths & stories. Also included in these excerpts are some comments from Alan Watts and Allen Ginsberg on the subjects of Gurdjieff and Subud.
The full 2-hour symposia is available at http://archive.org/details/pra-IZ1234A and http://archive.org/details/pra-IZ1234B.
'Panelists are John Perry, a San Francisco-based psychiatrist; Claudio Naranjo, a psychiatrist from Chile; Allen Ginsberg, poet; and Alan Watts, philosopher and writer; discussion is moderated by Julian Silverman, general manager of the Esalen Institute. Perry discusses Plato's thoughts on madness and creative thinking and describes the general behaviors of the schizophrenic. Watts claims that the poet and musician speak a "universal language" and that our relationship to nature is rooted in social engineering. Naranjo elucidates the difference between the schizophrenic and the poet and the role of shamanism in indigenous cultures. Ginsberg plays cymbals while reciting an incantation and then reads "Television Was a Baby Crawling Toward That Deathchamber."' |

Posted - 09 Aug 2012 : 02:55:52 AM That was interesting carlos, about the state of Serrtoryies, and the getting to the neutral to enter the state of sertoryies.
An other interesting thing I heard to do was Karl Kruszelnicki talk this morning on abc 612 radio about how they can create a vacuum with supposably nothing in it, and at the quantum level a negative and its opposite a positive part, appears and disappears and reappears and so on....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Kruszelnicki
It all makes sense carlos the trick is to generate and interact with the quantum level.
I have been successful may times at doing this naturally on my own and have exercised free will, vier this innate ability.
It was interesting what he spoke of about the waves and measurements in cm, I would like to learn more about that, but maybe I real do not need to know. It's about doing not understanding.
I have some very interesting ideas about the topic but I am a Nut so I will mot air my thoughts and understanding for fear of being labeled an authentic nut.
That knowledge is for those who do exercise it in service of Greater Nature like my self who has been able to find the neutral since the age of 4.5 years of age.
No need to shear stores but thanks for the insight in to other knowledge of the zone.
thank much carlos, mark anthony |
