Wow. I really, really liked that. That is not my style, but I found it moving. I teared up a bit. I've fantasized about eloping to Niagara without any annoying onlookers...looking on. Just...wow.

Hey, you guys, this kind of goes in tandem with the love-of-cheesy-horror films as discussed in the horror films thread. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is just now starting on FX. I would have enjoyed Black Christmas had it not been so damned boring.

School of Rock is on TBS right now. Life is bliss.

It's cool to watch it on TV, knowing that others are simultaneously sharing in the same joy.

I'm on #4 right now and while these guys are stuffy, it's a great run-down that touches on some of Nietzsche's main ideas. I don't always agree with their interpretation, but I appreciate it.

Hurray for YouTube.com and Pandora.com!

I wanted to see Inglorious Basterds - from the trailers, it looked good. Then my brother reminded me of the high violence content of the Tarantino canon, so I demurred. There's nothing worse than being in a theater and being subjected to much more violence than you had banked upon.

You guys!!! Santa Claus: The Movie is on AMC right now!! Turn it on!!

I love Santa!

I so wanted to be Cornelia when I was a kid. A rich kid who went to a private school, had a sense of her own agency (she had her own postage stamps and could mail stuff by herself!), and the affection of a streetsmart local tough!

White Christmas is on AMC right now.

It gets less interesting as it goes on, but I love the elaborate old song-and-dance routines, with excessive staging and choreography and costuming.

It reminds one of the times in which people got dressed up to go out to clubs for dinner and dancing.
