These are always a good watch:

Although, it's a bit overwrought when he turns the oscillator on at around 0:42. For me, it's like "Dude, dramatic much??"

Rabbi Scott: "But maybe - can I share something with you? Because I too have had the feeling of losing track of Hashem, which is the problem here. I too have forgotten how to see Him in the world. And when that happens you think, well, if I can't see Him, He isn't there any more, He's gone. But that's not the case. You just need to remember how to see Him. Am I right? [He rises and goes to the window]
Rabbi Scott: I mean, the parking lot here. Not much to see. It is a different angle on the same parking lot we saw from the Hebrew school window. But if you imagine yourself a visitor, somebody who isn't familiar with these... autos and such... somebody still with a capacity for wonder... Someone with a fresh... perspective. That's what it is, Larry. Larry Gopnik: Um... Rabbi Scott: Because with the right perspective you can see Hashem, you know, reaching into the world. He is in the world, not just in shul. It sounds to me like you're looking at the world, looking at your wife, through tired eyes. It sounds like she's become a sort of... thing... a problem... a thing... Larry Gopnik: Well, she's, she's seeing Sy Ableman. Rabbi Scott: Oh. Larry Gopnik: She's, they're planning, that's why they want the Gett. Rabbi Scott: Oh. I'm sorry. Larry Gopnik: It was his idea. Rabbi Scott: Well, they do need a Gett to remarry in the faith. But this is life. For you too. You can't cut yourself off from the mystical or you'll be-you'll remain-completely lost. You have to see these things as expressions of God's will. You don't have to like it, of course. Larry Gopnik: The boss isn't always right, but he's always the boss. Rabbi Scott: Ha-ha-ha! That's right, things aren't so bad. Look at the parking lot, Larry.
[Rabbi Scott gazes out, marveling] Rabbi Scott: Just look at that parking lot. |

Our aesthetics diverge gray ... a point of almost cathartic pathos is delivered with exquisite nonchalance at 1:28 when he reaches out across the void to make all motion cease, an act of will that is at once an abdication of will, an attempt to reverse the Sistine Chapel-ish imparting of consciousness into mankind with a final euthanasia of the Will. Perhaps all art is suicide? And yet the colours ... the colours .... as the blades mesmerically slow, as the breath dies ... a sublime allusion to the final, 55th stanza of Shelley's immortal 'Adonais', as the breath is expended and the blades glint like attack ships on fire off the shores of Orion...
The breath whose might I have invoked in song Descends on me; my spirit's bark is driven Far from the shore, far from the trembling throng Whose sails were never to the tempest given. The massy earth and spheréd skies are riven! I am borne darkly, fearfully, afar! Whilst, burning through the inmost veil of heaven, The soul of Adonais, like a star, Beacons from the abode where the Eternal are. |

The depth of harrow's chill inside the bone. The hundred-thousand executions per minute. Large and small, king and pauper, their breaths indiscriminately beheaded with machine-like precision and impassivity. If only a revolution were so easy. Alas, I'm not a fan of it.

meh, if you were a six you'd appreciate and welcome the melodramatic augmentation; i consider it "the" most brilliant and a contextually vital element of the entire show.
If you're going to tell people the truth, be funny or they'll kill you. - Billy Wilder

I want you to know I woke up very early in the morning alone in my bed and in a fit of ocd had to turn the computer on to post that.
Luckily no one had touched the thread in the mean time. (Oh, that time was so meaaan to me).
