A few of my most vivid dreams have been set in New York cityscapes....various scenes where I was in precarious positions at great heights among the tallest buildings.

I'd be curious to know more about the image you associated with me.
A challenge hmm. I always find it hard to put into words, the right brain process. But, I'll try.
I started with an impression based on space and environment, as you can see from my other photos, and then free associated as I browsed, while being open to any elements that did or didn't fit. The more of a saturated hit I could get the better, but that's difficult on google.
The most prevalant element I got was skyscrapers and there it had to be a skyline with more than one. From there, it had to be at night. It also had to be on water.
That was merely the architecture. Then it was getting the mood right. I lucked out with yours (from a personal perspective) more than with some others in that the impression totally fits in every way of the energy I get from you. There's the foggy looking light over dark. Also, it's not your typical skyline pic. There's an ominous feeling to it. The buildings aren't lit up as you would find skysrapers at night (which gives them a kind of permeability). Instead, almost all of the bulldings are solid and grey-black.
If anything else comes to me about why it felt right, I'll let you know.
One thing: there's a heavy stillness to it, that seemed to hit the right note.

I like it walden, and if you took the one you gave to skunk and put that image into the background of the one you gave me, it'd be just right.

Thanks for the thought, Walden…

Here’s one of the actual venues where I’ve performed.

Envy's post brought this to my attention, but I think it bears saying for a lot of other people's sake too.
Just because someone doesn't post something about you in this thread, doesn't mean no one has noticed you or is interested in you. Actually some of my favorite posters are people for whom I can't come up with any particular visual, auditory, or tactile imagery. Whether I can express someone's vibe in such a way is irrespective of whether I like their posts. It's not that they don't have a board vibe, it's just that I can't express the vibe I get from them. There are also some people that I just haven't read enough of their stuff yet to get a clear sense of them. I expect this is true for others as well -- that the ability to express someone's vibe is not necessarily a measure of whether they've noticed and/or enjoyed you and your posts.
So, yeah. There are a lot of cool awesome people who might never show up in this thread.
I still think the thread is fun.

Me too, and I was only joking in my post, of course. And I consider myself very special for not showing up on the list

Sometimes people appear as certain 'people' in my mind, they have a face (often similar to people I've seen before), but others are more of a general feeling or give off a visual structure of their energy...
Veiled One

Estranged Protractor (something like a building/archaelogical site, lots of digging/unearthing machines)

Heratyck for some reason I always picture her as Shirley Jackson

Mayhem
Jol sorry, to get image just copy and paste... www.scenicreflections.com/files/Running_Woman(Jogging)_Wallpaper_ogwur.jpg
Riley Deb Morgan from Dexter (but much more self-contained)

I knew I dreamt about Gray once when I was standing in a desert staring towards a giant, silver cube. Gray is wet dryness. He is the pause before the cough wherein things are held in stasis; leaves hint at growing, he is the malnourished Inbetween wherein all things come to be. Gray's movement of thought is rich forest. There is too much tangible indulgence for me there. Gray is dry Mother Nature, the accidental, omnipotent and cruel Goddess. Everything you need, and everything that starves.
I definately picked the hardest person I could pick.
But did an excellent job.
I also love Riley's firsts for df. That's mostly how I picture him as well. Dark abstract paint with an agenda.

Thanks savory! I think it's cool that you were able to pick my body type without ever seeing me. I have strong legs and a weak upper body like the jogging woman, (even though I'm not a jogger).

Riley - I really resonated with most the images you picked for people, but not the one for me. Walden - the tree & bike fit really well in some way I can't describe.
I searched sand sculptures, and only pulled ones that connected to someone. I had a few things in mind for some people that I couldn't land on using search words...

bear - That's me in the early, early morning, when at least half of my mind is still asleep. That's when I want peace, harmony, non-attachment, and modesty.
That lasts for a few minutes. Then, I wake up.

Cool. :) I feel your energy as you having a steady/grounded pace within your dynamic sx-first nature. Also with a steady determined aire.

Wow, you people are awesome! Some of what other people picked that I especially agree with, I'm going to list here. Not as a commentary on their choices but as a way of mooching off them. Like when someone says the word you were looking for and you say "yeah, that!"
bear's sand cat for .ron4. exact! right down to the color.
bear's pics for Glasgow and eidbuser clicked for me too.
savory's stack of books for stormy cracked me up. Stormy, sometimes I've thought I'd like to meet you in person because I feel that on the board you often send in a book as your proxy. I squint but can't seem to see the face behind the book. I feel as if I'd have to be around you in person to get a clear sense of you.
other Savory pics that work well for me: the water/nature woman for Shakti, the stairwell for skunk, the second one for enforest (big time).
savory, the expression on the girl with the zebra. When I first saw the photo I was so-so about the girl, but when I really focused in on her expression I thought, yep, that expression definitely fits. And I certainly would not pass up a chance to get near almost any kind of critter that I didn't think would harm me. One time I saw a Candid Camera bit where they had put a burro in a motel room and watched the guests' reaction when they arrived at the room. They were calling the desk to get someone to remove the burro... I was SO JEALOUS because that burro was wasted on those people! I would have lit up and exclaimed "LOOK! THERE IS A BURRO HERE!" and rushed over to talk to it and see if it would let me pet it and see about getting it a dish of water or something. For a long time afterward I had a recurring daydream of getting to check into the room with a burro in it.
Two people have pics for me that involve large rounded stones. I'm not sure exactly what that maps to, but it must be important if it shows up twice in close succession from different people. Because the rest of the content in those two is quite different, but the stones are strikingly similar. Care to comment on them, bear and walden?

Hey manda,
The space that came to me as exemplifying the energy I get from you was a zen garden. That was my jumping off point. A lot of the images that didn't fit felt too 'square'. I get a clean, orderly, unmessy, spiritual vibe from you that's earthy yet tamed and controlled, if that makes sense. The words i'm using don't feel like they are totally getting at it.
When I saw that one, it clicked right away - the curved movement of the path surrounded by water and the lush green plants felt right. The round smooth stones in the path were a large part of what 'made' it. Why? Darn, I'm not sure. I could guess that superficially it reminded me of your photo of your yoga pose and the stones do sort of mimic a spinal column. So, that is part of it. The smoothness of them also felt right.
I like river stones myself. There's something about the smooth, weathered down by years of erosion, softness to them that's somehow comforting. That's about all I can come up with atm
I've also been meaning to get back to you on your earlier post about places and where people feel at home. I find it interesting, as well. I'll be back on that...
