Astral Scream - can't decide, but I'd wear either of them

I love gaudy ornamentation, so long as I think it's been used right. same goes with jewelry, but I really don't wear either that often.
but if they were in the room, I couldn't keep those two off my head

Oh right on, hats.

I've been wearing this, only edge-frayed and sun-bleached from use:

And also from the surplus store, a scuffed and muddied pair of these:

Astral, I LOVE that first one. I'd definitely wear that. The second is a little too froufrou for me, but I think it'd look great on you.

Thanks, Des. Yeah, I'm getting obsessed with Victorian-ish style stuff. Haven't went so far as to become a quaintrelle. Not yet.

Want a better look at your first hat. It has rainbows and mushrooms, I would wear it. And then, the Disney mad hatter? YES
I like the black one on the left, too.

yeah I thought about giving you a purple or red flouncy pimp fedora, but then figured that was too obvious a choice . . .

I have berets, fedoras, pork pies (straw and felt), a cabbie, an outback, an engineer, and a sort of crown beanie/whoopie cap I transmogrified from an old trilby but which is unfortunately too small for my poofy hair . . .

not really, no. it looks like a basic toyo that someone's granny has gotten hold of and hot-glued extra bits of fabric onto . . .

but take that crap off, wind a strand of jute around the band a few times, I'd wear it . . .

I'm not a hat person. Most things on my head bother me and are just a cumbersome pain.

The few times that I've been in a tropical climate, I'll wear a straw hat like tss posted and I don't mind it - works well for me...gives and forms and does it's function and I don't mind the natural feel of it.

Mostly, it's winter in these parts though and it bothers me to have to cover up for it. I'll wear a lined hood with a parka in those cases until I rip it off when I get out of the elements.

However, this past winter I borrowed someone's trapper hat like this and liked it.

It's the first winter hat that I've felt comfortable wearing. I'll get one for next winter.

Other than that, I don't like hats. If I ever put anything on my head, it's a scarf. I like the versatility of them.

A red hat from a garage sale that I wore all the time before I came down with lice and they had to throw it away.
I had in mind they might at least burn it before my eyes so I could say goodbye, but it was just never seen again.

Haven't worn many hats since.

@Fleets, yeah it could be a southern hemisphere restriction thing.
Hulu's worthless to me. lol.
