I have more to read than I think my eyes can endure. I've probably gotten through about 250 pages today, and I'm still behind and moving on after this rant. That's not even counting all the other random crap I just read out of habit, like my own writing, for instance. I swear, this is all I do now: read and write, read and write. I may be blind by the end of the month, just so y'all know.
I didn't have great eye-sight to begin with...yeah this is all my fault. I'm the one who decided to take all these lit classes at the same time.
No wonder I hate boxes, I spend my whole day staring at one with little words in it.

"So, I was looking at your resume...and, I have to ask, why are you here?!"
***well, b/c i loved chiropractic when I worked in it in undergrad--b/c it made me the best version of myself, and the doctors I worked with were amazing and happy all the time and made good money and I wanted to be like them one day... ...b/c the idea of me being a doctor (even a weird one, like a chiropractor) made my parents so proud of me--made me proud of me... ...b/c ever since I've gotten out of school things have taken a nose dive, and being a chiropractor has made me miserable... ...b/c Im broke, have massive student loan debt, left my practice and my boyfriend and moved back in with my mom, and need a job..any job... ...b/c neither hospitals nor medical offices will hire me as a receptionist and although I'm a doctor I'm not qualified to do anything else, really...b/c starbucks told me I'm "not qualified enough"... ...b/c I need *something* to occupy my days besides sleeping, brooding, eating, and working out... ...b/c I want to go back to school to do diagnostic ultrasound, but I have to take pre-req classes and I'm not even eligible to start until fall 2013***

Omg I just want enlightenment so bad my teeth hurt.
Just kidding. Now, a story.
Unfulfilling Slurpee a story, by Jevoudrais
I just went to 7-11 and bought a small slurpee for the first time in decades. It was a Coke slurpee. I read the calorie count sticker on the machine, then reached for a cup, and all these other cups started sproinging out of the cup holder, all over the floor. I picked up like the first seven or eight of them, but then they kept sproinging, so I was like [blocked] it and just got my slurpee.
It was interesting to see that the slurpee nozzle is slid up a small diagonal groove. The slurpee came out fast and more liquidy than I expected. I thought, okay then, I guess I'll have a frosty Coke but we'll call it a slurpee.
The cups kept sproinging from time to time, an odd one here and there who missed its brothers and needed to fly from its prison and roll across the floor.
I got a lid and a straw and paid for the slurpee. Someone else said to the cashier hey you have a slurpee cup situation over by the slurpee machine. He was all okay don't worry I got it. I did not worry either. I paid and went outside and had a few sips of my slurpee. It was pretty gross, but I drank the whole thing. I wished it was more frozen cause at least that would have been funner and I could have used the little spade spoon looking thing at the end of the straw.
Oh well. |

Damaged an old filling in tooth no. 26 while eating almonds, will be having root cannal and a crown. Dentist's bill is 650$.
I guess you can say those were pretty expensive almonds. A healthy western diet revolves around some pretty hard foods especially some diets like the raw. But in Asian diets and especially the Japanese it's nearly impossible to find anything hard (e.g. in Japan, a carrot must always be cooked and soft before being used in a sushi roll, while in western 'sushi' restaurants it is most often used raw and hard, something which is not in accordance with the Japanese way).
I don't blame the hard almonds though, but my earlier life addiction to sugary, acidic drinks for having caries and filings in the first place. Fortunately, none of them are on the front teeth, so at least my smile doesn't reveal the damage.
