The other day I was asking myself, "What causes the types individualy to feel the stress that would cause them to disintegrate?" A social-laster 9 feels stress in social situations, making him look like a 6 when social. This same 9 happens to be Self-Preservation first, making him secure when financially comfortable. He would act like a 3 in such enviroments.
Based on this, the instinct stacking corresponds to certain types: SP 3 SX 9 SO 6 SP3/SX9/SO6
Now we can predict when someone will disintegrate

To the extent one's last instinct is not focused on, I would think one is more likely to feel stressed in situations detrimental to one's primary instinct than by situations pertaining to one's last instinct - an sp-first/so-last E9 would be more likely to be stressed by financial insecurity than by being in a social situation, for example.

Good distinction. In my case, loss of first instinct causes depression and immersion in last instinct causes stress. Maybe both depression and stress cause disintegration. I don't know.

| I also agree. The last instinct is in my experience something one tends to give a [blocked] about. Stress is likely but it doesn't lead to that much suffering. In my experience most of the pain and pleasure is derived from the main instinct and satisfying this instinct. Stress is highly likely to be triggered especially in situations revolving around the first instinct. |
