I'm interested in what angers each gut type, individually. Please share from personal experience.
Just answer this question: What makes you angry? Remember to say your gut fix. -------- All at once I knew I was not magnificent. |

What makes me angry:
guilt trips that I don't do enough interruptions when focused on writing loud noises excessive criticism someone hurting my children or loved ones failing myself (not taking care of myself)
but maybe the question you should be asking is what hurts us. when I'm truly hurt my heart burns with rage. I can actually physically feel my heart burning. Total defeat. putting myself in a vulnerable position based on trust and then being shamed by another. Things along those lines. betrayal of trust and lack of basic human decency.
I'm either 8 or 9 fixed. I don't know. My guess is 9. |

I didn't start experiencing anger until maybe a year ago. Before that it was just sadness. But now, I think I get angry when I feel threatened or those that I love are threatened. When others misjudge me and won't let down.

In rough order of (most to least) severity...
- Lying - Hypocrisy - Selfishness - Irresponsibility - Lack of trust/betrayal - Humiliation/guilt trips - Too many things going wrong in a period of time
(edited for specificity)

Is that from most severe to least severe, or from least severe to most severe?

I'm a SX/SP 9w8. I experience anger quite often. Here's what I wrote on another thread about what angers me:
- superiority
- Friends that don't actually care about me as a person.
- When people pretend that my lifeis so much better than their's. They minimize my problems.
- Being controlled, especially by authority.
- righteous anger, like when people are just plain mean, to myself, but especially others.
- When people overreact to me and just become unreasonable.
I never get mad at people for their incompetence, or their mistakes.

When people don't question their own beliefs, or assumptions. Over-valuing their own opinion.

Core 9.
Most things that actually anger me come down to disrespect.
I treat people by and large with respect. I respect their rights, boundaries, freedoms, privacy, and any agreed upon 'contracts' as long as they respect mine.
Violating my 'rights', overstepping boundaries, restricting my freedom, invading my privacy, or breaking agreements/contracts angers me. I can extend to other people as well, as in it angers me to see people violate each others rights as well.
Everything else is just an annoyance, the worst of which is being slow. Talking slow, moving slow, not getting in gear fast enough. I also hate phone calls. |

4w5. Gut fix is 1w9. The same.
When people do not get the method and try finding tangents ignoring supervision without saying it (dissimulation), especially if the tangents fail and people do not take the responsibility of this failure. People ignoring my "do this way because that's the best way". When people are not paying attention seriously, people not willing to learn, incompetence, lack of self-critic and over-estimated self-esteem. Lies and dissimulation generally.

Absolutely. This is not avarice. Re-read 9 vs 5 tension in bear's message which was brilliantly described : http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=27569&whichpage=9

Abuse of power is a big one for me. When I see somebody take advantage of others just because they are in position to do so rather than taking care of those who have been entrusted into their caring. This is one thing that has oft prompted me to take action.

I feel very disfunctional writing some of these but honestly...
People who justify selfishness as such --'I don't visit my relative in the nursing home because I find it too upsetting' Injustice Greed People who chase status for status's sake People who don't reflect People who scramble to be centre of attention People (usually 6s) who call my attention to dangers I am painfully aware of but am trying not to focus on People who don't take subtle hints to move away -- usually people who I can feel sucking my energy People who assume that their idea of fun is everybody's idea of fun (give me a one-to-one chat over a party of people anyday)
