Sorry, everyone, but something is up with the Board and it's slowing down the whole rest of the site. For now, until we can figure out how to proceed, we've limited the amount of CPU the Board can use to let the rest of the site be able to function more smooothly. This may mean that the Board takes longer to load and times out more. We'll do our best to get it running better as soon as we can!

When will you guys fix this situation? It's making the boards really annoying (I get a lot of "connection failed" due to said slowness of the boards).
And I am running with a new MacBook! Get with it mods!

It's more than slow. I've seen slow.
I have to login after every page.
Sometimes it wont go for an hour or more.
Thought you might want to know but probably don't.

I'm sorry! I know it's slow sporadically. Sometimes my posts go through immediately and other times the page won't load at all. Our developer is really busy right now and I am trying to get him to help solve this problem.

Thanks Katy! Can always count on Type 1 to keep on top of things and not let what is important slide.
Reminds me of my Type 1 manager who doesn't return my emails because it's not on her list of priorities because there is work to be done!

nature, it's good to see you post again.
I'm sorry that it dissuades you from posting. I don't try to post all that often (mostly because of being too busy) and tending to want to read and consider...over posting. But, I haven't found it to be too slow when I've tried to post...as a trend...though there have been a few occasions. |

Thanks, nice to see you too. I've been on a pretty substantial "being more engaged with life" kick so am not here much either but happened by and we'll see how long for.
Today seems to be much faster than yesterday.

That signature of yours, right there, might be the cause of slowing things down...
(only kidding...I've been known to be a heavy-handed, grand user of the 'ole image-laden sig)....

I'd be tempted to do it the other way around......if the board dies...the institute falls into obscurity. You sure its not a case of Problem..... not enough paying customers, course takers and merchandise sales?........ strategy..... slow the board and get peoples attention on the more profitable aspects of the institute while they're waiting
help help...the paranoids are out to get me.I'm sure i read a fixation which explains this suspicion

| I'm wondering if there's any relationship to how many pages are set to display. Do most people have that set (upper right above list) to display everything or last 120 days, et al? It seems faster when I have it set to display only recent, but it's so hard to tell since the speed is so inconsistent. |

for instance during slow slow moments...trying this and that...i discovered sometimes logging in and acceccesing my members file i can access my posts quicker and thus the board... |
