Hi, I am 22 years old female/ INFJ/ and I severally times scored as 6w5 and 4w5 or 4w3 as close second. Today I take some interesting test, here is the link : http://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/test.php
and I come as 4w3 social variant for various times and as social Six as close second. I dont understand well. I am pretty sure that my instinctual variant is soc/sx, but I am dont sure if I am 4w3 or 6w5 . Can someone tell me the difference between these two types? Can be person type Six and Four at the same time?Or can enneagram types fluctuated per lives? Can someone answer me this? |

Further:
Fours suffer whether or not they are supported....Sixes perpetrate suffering to attract supporters.
It's like the difference between someone who self-hurts in front of others versus someone who does it privately so nobody tries to stop them.
The other questions: Absofrigginlutely not. No. Did.

Fours hurt yourselves around people and Sixes in private?
I dont know if I am 4w3 or 6w5, the score is so close. How can I decided how I am? Do you know any test to decided? |

No. Opposite. Sixes are unsupported. They'll talk about finishing themselves off to get support. "I'm going to cut my wrists if you don't do such and such." That's unhealthy Six, manipulative. Unhealthy fours will cut their wrists w/out the hype.
Sixes are full of it, Fours finish it.

I would say 6w5 is more "revealing" than 4w3. I know more about the specifics of 6's emotional and mental lives than the 4s I know.
I take issue with the four descriptions which claim fours are revealing about their inner worlds, they aren't, I'm not, we put on shows, public or private, to symbolise pain and suffering as ideolised mental concepts. Day to day, we're performers, recluses and dreamers... Once in a while they'll be a trusted person who'll we'll talk till 4 am with, and that memory is treasured. Emotions will be expressed emotionally, being cold, withdrawing, looking sad, being hostile. An unhappy four can walk into a room and force the temperature down 10 degrees so everyone shivers, but no-one knows why, perhaps they don't even care. And why should they care when they don't know what's wrong, the four is misunderstood again I theorise that it's a head/heart difference. Head types verbalise better, notice how the fives here are the most revealing about their inner lives. It's a written discussion forum, they're more equipped to express themselves here. Analyse themselves objetively. I bet in real life they appear composed and together. People can't tell how they're feeling. (I generalise, so pardon me) I have been semi-revealing in my few hundred posts here, but I've always tried to do it in an artistic symbolic way to the best of my abilities, because self-truth is a business for fours.
So to summise, the 6s I knew would talk about their worries and feelings nearly always. The 4s, you could tell they wanted to but shyness/shame/perfectionism seems to choke them. |

Stark differences:
4w3s conjure fantasy self-images, good fantasies and bad ones. To a 6w5, this is a luxury/indulgence, the thought of which they'd belittle. For the 4 it's an automatic function.
6w5's fantasy (or reality) would be to ally with a small group of specialists to fortify against some "system behind the System" which they perceive as threatening daily order/functionality or physical survival. 4w3s would be tempted to say 'Let the chaos reign.'

Fours have a grander view of themselves. Sixes have an involuntary view of themselves.
The self is victim. "X happened to me, therefore x is me" is the way a Six might interpret circumstances. For a Four, it's more tragic. Physical realm intrudes, doesn't define. And punishment of body is a triumph of the symbolic over the physical. Where Sixes are self-defeating. Fours are self-punishing.
Fours are in symbolic realm. Eights are in physical realm and punish other bodies. Sixes are in between, uncertain about things they have every reason to be certain about.
