"Many people in my Part I Training used the term transformational—and indeed this experience continues to be transformational for me. Both Russ Hudson and Brian Grodner were great models of how to be Present and to act out of that Presence. The night following the Training, I had a disturbing dream.

"I was living in an old house. Many of my family members were there—both past and present. The house was a combination of many houses, but mainly an old farm house. It kept having problems with its structure and my family was discussing how to fix it. Russ and Brian then appeared in this home offering to help fix the problems. Russ seemed to just dance around not touching anything as Brian commented on the problems and how easy they would be to fix. But the problems only became larger. The leak in the roof would suddenly turn into the roof being removed from the home. The leaking pipes would turn into fountains. The furnace fell into the ground revealing the inner core of the earth. My family members and I were all getting upset trying to stop them from doing any further 'repairs' before nothing was left.

"I woke up angry and with a bizarre sense of questioning: 'What were Russ and Brian doing?' 'Why was I angry with them after such a wonderful experience?' Then I thought back to my dream and the view of what was beyond this house—a beautiful sky, flowing water, the inner heat of the world. It was almost as if my personality was fighting once more to contain myself within that house, and Russ and Brian were opening me up to the connection to all that is within this world. I want to thank Russ and Brian for helping me see a different way of making household repairs. I have only begun in my journey to work with the wisdom of the Enneagram."
