Brian has been studying the Enneagram since 1993 and was certified as a teacher in the Riso-Hudson Insight Approach^® in 1994. He has also studied with Claudio Naranjo, written many articles on the Enneagram, and is on the Board of Directors of the International Enneagram Association. In 1995, Brian helped design, and then was faculty for, the first three Riso-Hudson Enneagram Growth Experience (EGE Part II Trainings), and is now faculty for the Part I Trainings.

Brian has introduced and taught the Enneagram to many national conferences and congresses, professional groups, institutions, organizations, and businesses across the US and Mexico, and was a presenter at the initial 1994 Stanford University (and many other) International Enneagram Conferences.

Specializing In

Individual and couple psychotherapy:

I integrate the wisdom of the Enneagram with Ericksonian hypnosis, NLP, Energy psychology, and other powerful strategies in my practice of counseling, habit and addiction control, health and healing, and sports psychology.

I work with people who are troubled with anxiety, depression, trauma, health, work, and relationship issues as well as those focusing on personal and/or spiritual growth and peak performance. I've found the Enneagram delineates specific pathways and suggestions for empowering and tailoring therapeutic and spiritual goals and strategies and enhances therapeutic effectiveness.

Teaching and speaking:

I am a national speaker and trainer

• For health and education professionals and institutions in hypnosis, Energy psychology, health and healing, habit control and other programs.
• For organizations and businesses in "Staying positive and productive no matter what: The practical psychology of high performance at work", "Communicating with Impact" and "Enhancing Team-building and Organizational Success".

Personal Statement

I am very pleased to be a member of The Enneagram Institute faculty and family working to further the growth and positive benefits of the Enneagram in our world. The Enneagram has been priceless in my own personal and spiritual growth and invaluable in my professional work with individuals and organizations.

I consider the Enneagram to be the most profound yet practical way of understanding and developing ourselves and interacting more effectively and appreciatively with others. It is our internal reality—how we make sense of, give meaning to, interpret, and represent our world that most powerfully impact and influence our feelings and responses. Using presence, awareness, mindfulness to explore this internal reality and resulting external behavior can be difficult and diffused without the lens of the Enneagram to help focus.

I believe we have a natural tropism and propensity for health and development, though there is so much that gets in our way. Therefore integrating spirituality and psychology can mutually enhance each other and the discovery and living of our true nature.
