The Enneagram Institute Training Center

The Barn is now hosting Enneagram Institute events.

The Enneagram Institute offices are located in the over 5000-square-foot Barn, which also includes a spacious meeting hall, a large conference room, and other facilities. We are teaching many of our East Coast, Enneagram Institute–produced Workshops and Trainings at The Barn. You may coordinate your travel and lodging with other Riso-Hudson students by registering on our Discussion Board and then entering the password found in your registration letter. Email Katy if you have further questions about the Discussion Board; she cannot help you coordinate your travel.

Check the event listing that you are interested in on the Schedule to see if it will be held at The Barn or elsewhere. Final decisions about the location of each event are posted on the Schedule page as soon as they become definite; the Schedule always contains the most current information. Note: some Trainings and Workshops previously scheduled at other locations have been moved to The Barn at Stone Ridge.

The Great Hall—Main Teaching Space

Facilities

The Barn offers a downstairs, 900-square-foot, large conference room with a 15-foot table that can easily accommodate about 30 people, as well a state-of-the-art media center. There is also a 2,000-square-foot main meeting hall upstairs, which can accommodate about 100 people, and which features a 25-foot cathedral ceiling. In the upstairs meeting hall, there are numerous picture windows overlooking the 72 acres of grounds, as well as another state-of-the-art sound, video, and lighting system, and a grand piano. Other features include a gourmet kitchen, several break-out and lounge spaces, and a 1,000-square-foot deck overlooking the koi pond. We offer our participants free wireless Internet access.

The 72 acres of grounds are considered among the most beautiful in Ulster County and have a magical quality which many feel as soon as they step onto the property. There are thousands of old growth trees, of many varieties, which are literally hundreds of years old. The grounds are enriched by numerous walking paths through the woods and meadows, streams, two ponds, as well as a wealth of wildlife including wild turkeys, pheasants, deer, and hundreds of songbirds. The rolling hills and meadows are ideal for exploring in all seasons either for walking, cross-country skiing, meditating, or relaxing in the beautiful countryside.

Location

The Barn at Stone Ridge is situated 90 miles directly north of New York City, and 50 miles south of Albany, in the beautiful Hudson River Valley. Nearby towns include Kingston, New Paltz, Woodstock, Phoenicia, and Poughkeepsie, as well as many other charming country villages.

You can get to Stone Ridge either from the Albany Airport, the Newburgh Stewart Field Airport, or any of the New York City airports. Taxis, buses, and rental cars are available at those locations. Travel information, including shuttle service to the Enneagram Institute from area hotels, will be sent once you have registered. For more information on things to do in the area, click here.
