The Enneagram Institute Course Offerings

For nearly 30 years, The Enneagram Institute® has offered the most comprehensive Enneagram program available anywhere in the world today. Using the Riso-Hudson Insight Approach℠— a full spectrum exploration of the Enneagram and all of its elements, psychological and spiritual—the program offers a tremendous range and depth, and its content and precision have earned a global reputation.

We have started a careful review of our academic offerings. Taking the best of what we've learned over our years of teaching and also from what we have learned from student suggestions, we have been rethinking our curriculum to include our most recent developments, and Inner Work experiential exercises. As was the case with our original Programs, the new offerings will be rolled out over the next few years. In 2019, all educational events will be led by Russ Hudson and held at our headquarters in Stone Ridge, NY.

Introductory Course: Fundamentals of the Riso-Hudson Enneagram

This course presents the fundamentals of the Riso-Hudson interpretation and applications of the Enneagram, including the basic concepts underlying the ground-breaking Levels of Development, as well as the importance of the imbalances of the Centers as critical to the identification of a core personality type.  Although addressing the intellectual rationale behind the development of each type, this course will also rely extensively on individual and group Inner-Work exercises to assist in a deeper appreciation of each Enneagram point’s true gifts and a more compassionate and personal understanding of how egoic needs can frustrate the expression of those gifts. It is strongly recommended that participants will have read The Wisdom of the Enneagram prior to participation.
